Montreal is the largest city in the province of Quebec, the second-largest in Canada, and the tenth-largest in North America
Montréal is the biggest city in Québec, Canada. It's located on an island in the Saint Lawrence River and gets its name from Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill in the middle of the city. The city’s boroughs, which used to be separate towns, feature a mix of neighborhoods from the historic, cobblestone streets of Vieux-Montréal, with the stunning Gothic Revival Notre-Dame Basilica, to the artsy and bohemian Plateau area.
